This is a non-accredited course. On successful completion, you will gain an in-house college certificate of achievement.
No previous experience or qualification required, smart phone, iPad or access to a computer/internet, a range of drawing pencils (B-4B), an A4 drawing pad and some basic water colour paints and brushes.

Minimum attendance 90%, positive attitude to learning, to achieve the certificate you will need to complete at least 80% of assignment.

Your teaching and learning will include:
The tutor will do an initial assessment (an individual learning plan) to discover your starting point, find out what you want to get out of the course, take any previous knowledge you have into account, and plan how best to support you. They will demonstrate techniques, show inspiring examples, and provide hand-outs to support your learning. You will learn by experience, demonstration, group work - and practice! You will learn how to use a range of specialist drawing and painting materials and techniques.
The tutor is a professional illustrator and will explain how to follow a brief from conception to conclusion.

You will be assessed by practical tasks, verbal assessment and feedback, tutorials, targets review and feedback, written assessment, and feedback. Your progress will be reviewed by regular feedback from the tutor, discussions, self-assessment, group, and peer work as well as the finished sketches, drawings, and paintings.
Prosp User 6
A successful completion of this course will help you to progress onto employment, self-employment or/ and other courses.
